Happy New Year

I took the above picture a few years back when I was at the Rose Parade in Pasadena. This year my family and I will again be enjoying the parade in what I hope will be sunny and dry Southern California.

My sincere best wishes to you and yours as we celebrate the coming of 2011!

Pasadena. Not to ruffle feathers, but I'm pulling for the Badgers!

BB, I am mixed... with no Pac -10 in the game, I am probably more inclined to support TCU since they are from the same conference as UNLV...

Tim, you have a good one too!

Have a peaceful and fulfilling 2011, Dave.

Good wishes to you, too, this new year.

Yes, I Hope that you all had a very Happy New Year too.

We are Usually Out of Town on New Years, but were not this Year, so we had the Chance for the Very First Time to go to a New Years Eve Party Put on by the Church. It was Fun. There was Music and Dancing and either Prime Rib or Stuffed Portavella Mushrooms. We had the Mushrooms and they were Delicious.

There were a lot of Old Folks that don't Like to Stay Up that Late, so the Party Celebrated the New Year at 9:00 PM instead of Midnight. In New York, it was Midnight, but in California, it was only 9:00 PM. They Watched the Ball Go Down in New York City a 9:00 PM, California Time, Made a Whole Bunch of Noise as if it was Midnight and than the Party Broke Up and we all went Home and Went to Bed.

Yeh. A Bunch of Old Fuddy Duds and Party Poopers. Lol. Oh well. It was Still Fun.

Hey Dave,
The Last Time that we went to the Rose Parade, my Parents had a Little Extra Cash and Decided to Rent a Limousine. That was Fun too.

Hey Dave,
How was the Rose Parade? Hope you had Fun.

Anonymous,
Unfortunately, Nothing short of a RINO has any Chance of Winning an Election in California. This is Sad and yet so True and the RINOs in California Bare very Little Resemblance to anything Conservative.

Those are Good Wishes. I wish that Democrats and Conservatives would Learn how to Better Understand Each Other and Work Together more than they do, but that's quite a lot to wish for. Unfortunately, sometimes Gridlock is Necessary in Order to Slow the High Speed Path Towards Destruction.

Anon, while I'd love to comment on your thoughts, the very fact that you already posted this exact comment at Geezzzz's site shows you to be a troll.

And that is before I get to the fact that your comment has no relation to anything I've written.

Come back when you have an original thought to share and a name to attach to your comments...

Lista, it was a great day, the weather was perfect and our seats for the parade, a gift to us, were pretty good.

As one who has always been a big fan of the parade, you could tell that companies were investing less money in the floats as there were few of the really big and ornate ones of the past and some longtime companies decided not to participate.

Blogger Lista said ... (9:16 PM) :

Glad you had Fun, Dave. The Less Elaborate Floats must be the Result of the Bad Economy. The Last Band in the Parade was from Upland High. Far Out!! That's where I went to School.

What Exactly is a Troll, Dave? I hope that I don't ever have that Problem.
