Interracial Couple Banned From Church Membership

I am not sure what to even say about this except that apparently racism is indeed alive and well in some areas of our country.

That is if this story out of Kentucky is to be believed.

Thankfully, my church in Las Vegas has a different view.

Kentucky! I wonder if we'll be allowed to worship there if we go then, since we're fully non-white!

If it was a little closer I'd check it out for kicks. Looks like freewill baptist doesn't give much freewill after all.

Sad stuff.

johnson, I forgot you were there. Maybe you should check them out after all...

Unbelievable in this day and age.

Yes Tim it is.

I read on one site where people felt since it was a small church, that the news organizations were only highlighting it to bring disrepute to all Christians.

It, of course was seen by them as a political ploy.

..assume Pikeville Freewill Baptist
is too small for sovereign immunity ?

Things like this Sadden me, cause it Turns People Away from Christianity. I am all the Time Telling People that just because you Disagree with an Idea that you Heard from One Particular Christian, or even One Particular Church, does not Mean that you Disagree with that which Lies at the Heart of Christianity.

There are all sorts of Incorrect Ideas being Taught in the Name of Jesus and as a result, Non-believers have a Million Reasons for Rejecting Christianity.

Just to Clarify, the Heart of Christianity is based on Relationship, not Doctrine or Religion. It is a Relationship with Jesus Christ that is at the Heart of it and nothing Foolish that is done or said by someone or some group that Claims to be Following the Lord, Changes who Christ Himself is, nor does it Change the Love and Forgiveness that is Offered by the Main Person who Christianity is all about and that is Jesus Christ.

This is why it Angers me Considerably when People Misrepresent Christ's Love.

It just so Happens that Christianity is a little bit of a Mystery. There is some Very Real Life Changing Potential within it, yet a lot of People Get it Wrong and miss what is at the Heart of it.

Quite apart from this Post, as well as the Link that BB left, I have also Noticed after Posting One of my Christmas Posts, Entitled, Breaking Out of Chaotic Christmas Bondage, that more People than Expected are already Finding the Page by Typing the Phrase "Christmas Bondage" and most of them are from Out of Country. Interesting.

I Actually Added a Few Paragraphs to my Post Once I realized that there had been Several Out of Country Visitors who had Typed "Christmas Bondage" into their Search Engines.

Just as some People will Alienate Inter Racial Couples when they Shouldn't, or worse Yet, Priests will Actually Practice Sexual Abuse, so also, People are all the Time Getting Christmas Wrong by Focusing on Material Things, as well as Expectations and Traditions, rather then the Savior that the Holiday represents.

I hope that you had a Merry Christmas, Dave.
