The Mission... Oaxaca 2011
Many of my friends have been asking to see some pictures of our work in Mexico. You can view some great shots not only of our ministry, but the people and area of Oaxaca here. Brother Joe Ramirez and his team of photographers from The Rock Church in San Diego came and tirelessly shot picture after picture of what we were doing to document the work and help publicize our mission. I have written about how his specific ministry can make an impact on people at my Adventures in Life Ministry blog, "notes from dave..." Check it out. In the meantime, here are a few pictures from my time in Oaxaca. here I am waiting for a glass of the aztec drink, tejate, with pastor chable hermanas julia, her daughter norma, and maria elena... they cooked all week for our group... our team of men, pastor jesus, and pastor americo and his family hermana julia heating up a batch of zapotec tlayudas on her comal see more of brother joe's photos and those of his team at MISSION Focused Labels: Adventures in Life, Americo Santana, Gaspar Chable, Joe Ramirez Photography, mexico, Oaxaxa, short-term missions, The Rock Church, Tlayudas |

Dave,
Welcome back and thanks for the great pictures, links and getting the word out on all the good work everyone is doing down there.
Hope you are feeling better.
Great pics Dave. What did you build this year?
Hey Tim, here's the run down of my last few weeks there...
1. Plowed, reset, and planted our demonstration farm.
2. Wrapped in plastic and planted 2 small [10 x 10] demonstration greenhouses.
3. Built a third greenhouse
4. Plumbed a ministry training center and a church
5. Installed electricity for the training center and the church.
6. Dug and installed a 5000 liter cistern for the facility.
7. Lots of flatwork/concrete
In just a few weeks, I return to the area with a medical team
Wow, Dave. Great photos. It's great to be able to see where and with whom you do your ministry.
Welcome back. But I see you'll be back there soon.
Good wishes to you and bless you for all the good you do.
